We had a birthday party for Dr. Dan last weekend – cake, gag gifts, fake nerd glasses, the works. He really hates being the center of attention, the poor thing.

Speaking of Dr. Dan, he and I were in his office this afternoon working on a writing project. He was pounding away at the keyboard and I was waiting for him to finish so he could read me what he’d written. I noticed he has some of those magnetic words all over his filing cabinet, [...]

Today Dr. Dan drew a butterfly to accompany a lecture he was giving. Then he drew a piranah eating the butterfly because … well, I don’t know exactly. We’re thinking of having him evaluated.

This could be Dr. Dan’s finest drawing to date, although that’s only because last week, before I could get a picture of it, he erased his drawing of a fat woman jumping off a building and getting shot by a sniper on nearby building before she hit the ground. I realize that a drawing as fine as this one needs no explanation, but indulge me. This is Dr. Dan’s illustration of how a relaxed, open workplace operates.

Dr. Dan heard that I am showcasing his chalkboard drawings on my blog and threatened me with a cease and desist order, then proceeded to make that absolutely impossible for me to do by drawing this squirrel. (Please note the fluffy tail.)
