And also I’m going to write abouzzzzzzzzzz
I’ve just gotten back from Britain and I have so much I want to write about my trip, the almost unbearable loveliness of the country, the way I was welcomed, the accents, the food, the people I met. However, I have been up since 3 a.m. UK time and what with all the crying in the hours before immigration dragged me to the airport I left, I am so exhausted I can barely hold my head up, so the writing will commence tomorrow. Snippets here, as usual, and longer pieces on the side pages. You know the drill. Cheers, mate.

I’m so glad you like England. I like the qualities of your writing: the honesty, the lack of hype, the appreciation of your experiences (just read your Ricki tale). It would have been nice to meet you during your stay. I live in a town thirty miles east of Oxford, thirty miles West of London. It has nothing special like Oxford. But its ordinariness (unpretentiousness?) grows on me.
